The drum granulator is a commonly used granulator in the production of compound fertilizers, organic fertilizers, biological fertilizers, controlled release fertilizers, and other fertilizers. It is suitable for cold and hot granulation as well as large-scale production of high, medium, and low concentration compound fertilizers. The main working method is wet granulation of pellets. By using a quantitative amount of water or steam, the basic fertilizer is fully chemically reacted after being humidified in the cylinder. Under the set liquid phase conditions, with the help of the rotational motion of the cylinder, the material particles are compressed and agglomerated into balls.
Working principle of organic fertilizer granulator: By utilizing the high-speed rotating mechanical stirring force and the resulting aerodynamic force, the fine powder material is continuously mixed, granulated, spheroidized, extruded, collided, dense, polished and other processes in the machine, thereby achieving the purpose of granulation. The particle shape is spherical, with a sphericity of ≥ 0.7 and a particle size generally between 0.3-3 millimeters. The particle formation rate is ≥ 90%. The size of the particle diameter can be adjusted appropriately by the material mixing amount and the spindle speed. Generally, the lower the mixing amount, the higher the speed, and the smaller the particle.
The organic fertilizer granulator is particularly suitable for granulating lightweight fine powder materials, which is more suitable for granulating organic inorganic compound fertilizers. The finer the basic particles of fine powder materials, the higher the sphericity of the particles, and the better the quality of the pellets. It is generally required that the particle size of the material before granulation should be less than 50 mesh. Typical application materials include chicken manure, pig manure, cow manure, carbon black, clay, kaolin, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and other organic and inorganic compound fertilizers
