The main process of NPK fertilizer production
1. Raw material preparation
The main raw materials of NPK compound fertilizer include urea, ammonium nitrate, mono-ammonium phosphate, diammonium phosphate, potassium chloride, potassium sulfate and so on. Before production, it is necessary to accurately calculate the proportion of each raw material according to the formula, and ensure that the raw material is dry and no caking to ensure the smooth follow-up processing.
2. Mix and mix
After the raw materials are weighed in a set proportion by an automatic dosing system (such as an electronic weighing scale), they enter the mixer for even mixing. Mixing uniformity directly affects the nutrient distribution of the finished fertilizer, so this link is crucial.
3. Granulation process
Granulation is a key link in NPK fertilizer production. Common fertilizer granulatior machine includes rotary drum granulator and disc granulator . The granulator processes the mixed material into uniform particles to improve the application effect and storage stability of the fertilizer.
4. Dry and cool
The newly created particles contain a certain amount of water and need to be dried by a tumble dryer to remove excess water and enhance the hardness of the particles. Subsequently, the particles enter the cooling machine to cool down, prevent the particles from sticking or breaking due to high temperature, and improve the quality of the finished product.
5. Screening and coating
The cooled particles enter the vibrating screen, the particles that do not meet the specifications are screened out, and the qualified particles enter the next packaging process. In order to prevent the agglomeration of particles and improve the fluidity and storage stability of fertilizers, some production lines are also equipped with coating machines for moisture-proof or nutrient slow-release treatment of particles.
6. Packaging and storage
Finally, the qualified NPK granular fertilizer is weighed, bagged by an automatic packaging machine, and entered the warehouse for storage or direct sale.
